Step 1: Cover front of notebook with patterned paper and trim edges as needed. Cover back of notebook with coordinating shade of cardstock. Cut one 0.5" wide strip of cardstock and adhere along side of binding on front and back covers.
Step 2: Cut one 7" x 2.25" strip of brown cardstock and emboss using Cuttlebug machine and embossing folder. Adhere horizontally across front of notebook with one 0.5" strip of coordinating cardstock.
Step 3: Using Cricut Expression machine, create a layered princess to adhere to front of notebook.
- Ariel: Using Dreams Come True cartridge and black cardstock, cut one 5 ½" <Ariel2>. Cut following pieces to layer onto black cardstock outline.
- Flesh: Using flesh-colored cardstock, press Layers: Flesh/Hair feature and cut one 5 ½" <Ariel2> to cut her skin.
- Hair and lips: Using red cardstock, press Shift and Layers: Flesh/Hair feature and cut one 5 ½" <Ariel2s> to cut her hair and lips.
- Shell: Using lavender cardstock, press Layers: Outfit/Outfit feature and cut one 5 ½" <Ariel2> to cut shells.
iv. Eyes (white): Using white cardstock, press Layers: White/Extra feature and cut one 5 ½" <Ariel2> to cut white part of eyes.
- Aurora: Using Happily Ever After cartridge and black cardstock, cut one 5 ½" <Aurora1>. Cut following pieces to layer onto black cardstock outline.
- Flesh: Using flesh-colored cardstock, press Layers: Flesh/Hair feature and cut one 5 ½" <Aurora1> to cut her skin.
- Hair: Using yellow cardstock, press Shift and Layers: Flesh/Hair feature and cut one 5 ½" <Aurora1s> to cut her hair.
- Crown and necklace: Using light yellow cardstock, press Layers: Outfit/Outfit feature and cut one ½" <Aurora1> to cut her crown and necklace.
- Lips: Using pink cardstock, press Shift and Layers: Outfit/Outfit feature and cut one 5 ½" <Aurora1s> to cut her lips.
- Eyes (white): Using white cardstock, press Layers: White/Extra feature and cut one 5 ½" <Aurora1> cut white part of her eyes.
- Cinderella: Using Happily Ever After cartridge and black cardstock, cut one 7" <Cndrla2>. Cut following pieces to layer onto black cardstock outline.
- Flesh: Using flesh-colored cardstock, press Layers: Flesh/Hair feature and cut one 7" <Cndrla2> to cut her skin.
- Hair: Using yellow cardstock, press Shift and Layers: Flesh/Hair feature and cut one 7" <Cndrla2s> to cut her hair.
- Dress bodice and headband: Using blue cardstock, press Layers: Outfit/Outfit feature and cut one 7" <Cndrla2> to cut her dress bodice and headband.
- Sleeves, gloves, and earring: Using light blue cardstock, press Shift and Layers: Outfit/Outfit feature and cut one 7" <Cndrla2s> to cut her sleeves, gloves, and earring.
- Eyes (white): Using white cardstock, press Layers: White/Extra feature and cut one 7" <Cndrla2> to cut white part of her eyes.
- Lips: Using pink cardstock, press Shift and Layers: White/Extra feature and cut one 7" <Cndrla2s> to cut her lips.
Step 4: Assemble princess and add touch of color to white of eyes with pen (blue for Ariel, purple for Aurora, or dark blue for Cinderella). Adhere assembled layered princess to front of notebook.
