SpongeBob SquarePants Swims to the Cricut

SPANISH FORK, UT -- February 6, 2009 -- Thanks to a partnership with Nickelodeon/Viacom Consumer Products, SpongeBob SquarePants and his Bikini Bottom friends are coming to Provo Craft’s Cricut® Personal Electronic Cutter in a new cartridge.

The cartridge contains hundreds of images, including all the characters that children have grown to love: SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and Gary. Users will be able to create their own Bikini Bottom with SpongeBob’s pineapple house, the Crusty Krab, undersea plants, and dozens more images of scenery. The SpongeBob SquarePants cartridge also features layered characters, icons, shadows, and blackout.

“We’re proud to welcome SpongeBob Square Pants into the family of Cricut cartridges,” said Tonia Conger, Provo Craft’s vice president of consumer marketing. “The show has been a hit with families for ten years now, and we’re excited to give them an outlet of creativity to express their adoration.”

The SpongeBob SquarePants cartridge debuted at the Craft & Hobby Association’s annual Winter Convention and Trade Show in Anaheim, CA. Several other new Provo Craft products also debuted, including the new Hannah Montana cartridge and the new Yudu? Personal Screen Printer.
