Robert Workman, Tifie Earn Recognition from Craft & Hobby Industry

Spanish Fork, Utah February 5, 2008 Robert Workman, chief executive creative officer of Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc., will be honored by the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) during their winter conference for his work as CEO/Chairman of Tifie Humanitarian.

Founded by Workman in 2006, Tifie (Teaching Individuals and Families Independence through Enterprise) is based in Spanish Fork, UT. The organization seeks to empower entrepreneurs in impoverished areas, leading to more jobs, improved economies and better living conditions. Tifies many projects at this point are focused on Democratic Republic of Congo businesses and include supporting 19 orphans and sponsoring water purification and distribution programs.

I'm honored by the industrys recognition for the work Tifie has done, Workman said. It reinforces my belief that everyone should have an opportunity to maximize their potential in life, no matter where they come from. For Tifie, this is just the beginning.

Workman will receive the Special Recognition Award at the Craft & Hobby Associations CHA 2008 Winter Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim, Calif., on Tuesday, February 12. The Provo Craft booth #3061 will feature a special display devoted to the work of Tifie; visitors are welcome to stop by and learn about the work being done as well as future plans.

The CHA Special Recognition Award is presented to an individual for an extraordinary contribution in an activity that showcases the craft and hobby industry in a positive way. Provo Craft employees were also noted by CHA for contributing a significant amount of books, toys and clothing to the orphanage.
