New Larger Cricut Machine Makes Bigger Cuts and Offers More Options

Spanish Fork, UT January 26, 2007 Provo Craft™, innovator of the Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter™, will release the Cricut Expression™ Personal Electronic Cutter™ at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Winter Convention and Trade Show this weekend. The Cricut Expression machine is an exciting addition to the existing Cricut line, offering larger cutting options and more diverse features.

The Cricut Expression machine is an electronic paper cutter that offers the precision and skill of the original Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter plus the ability to cut larger sizes (from 1" up to 24") and in a wider variety of materials (such as poster board).

It accepts all of the new and previously released Cricut cartridges and keypad overlays, but offers five creative modes and five timesaving features, such as ways to cut mirrored images and to cut horizontally or vertically on the mat. You can mix and match creative features on the same cut, and the LCD screen is designed to show exactly what youre typing and cutting. The LCD screen has settings for different languages (English, French, Spanish, and German) and metric measurements.

The Cricut Expression machine comes bundled with two new cartridges: the Cricut Schoolbook font cartridge and the Cricut Accent Essentials shape cartridge. The Schoolbook cartridge is ideal for educators; it includes a complete alphabet set designed to match the look and feel of childrens schoolbooks. The two cutting mats available for the Cricut Expression system measure 12" x 12" and 12" x 24" and have a tacky surface and measurement marks for easy use.
