Provo Craft Introduces Cricut®, the Portable Personal Electronic Cutting System

Spanish Fork, UTAH July 15, 2005 Provo Craft, a leader and innovator in paper crafting materials and designs, introduces Cricut®, a revolutionary personal paper cutting system. Cricut goes where you go, does not require the use of a computer, and allows the operator to choose from thousands of shapes, sizes, and phrases. All designs are contained in small cartridges approximately 2 inches in size. Cricut is as easy to use as 1- 2- 3: (1) insert paper, (2) select your desired shape and size, and (3) press CUT. It is that easy. There are no complicated commands to learn or programs to install, and Cricut delivers crisp, detailed cuts every time.

Cricut® uses a proprietary blade technology that accommodates a variety of papers, from vellum to cardstock up to 0.5mm thick. Cricut's advanced blade technology produces extremely intricate designs and clean, crisp edges.

Designed by leading paper crafting designers exclusively for Cricut, they give you the ability to customize and create innovative designer art yourself. Cricut cuts intricate letters, shapes, and phrases in sizes from 1 inch up to 5 ½ inches tall and borders up to 11 ½ inches in length.
