| TO ENTER: Obtain a validated Masterpiece Contest Entry form from any participating Independent Cricut Retailer or print a Masterpiece Contest Entry form available at provocraft.com/contest/form ( or click the "Entry Form" link above) and take the form to any participating Independent Cricut Retailer for proper validation. Fill out the entry form according to directions, then mail your project, the validated and completed entry form and appropriate completed model release form(s), if applicable, to Masterpiece Contest · 151 East 3450 North · Spanish Fork, Utah 84660. All entries must be postmarked by midnight MDT March 8, 2007. Neither Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. nor your Participating Independent Cricut Retailer is responsible for late, lost, damaged, or misdirected entries, entries returned for insufficient postage, or for technical failures in obtaining an entry form or other forms from its web site. Neither Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. nor the Participating Local Independent Cricut Retailer is responsible for any damage due to participant’s computer by participating in this contest. |
| CONTENT: All entries must include a properly validated Masterpiece Contest Entry form completed in full. Incomplete entry forms may result in disqualification. Acceptable entries include projects that fit within the following five judged categories: (1) Party Decorations, (2) Invitations/Announcements, (3) School Projects, (4) Centerpieces, and (5) Home Décor. Entries must include cuts from two (2) of the following cartridges: Paper Pups, Walk In My Garden, ZooBalloo, Opposites Attract, Printing Press, and New Arrival. Any photographs used in any entry must have been taken by the contest entrant and cannot include copyrighted material(s) that are not exclusively owned by the contest entrant and may not include any trademarks. Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. reserves the right to alter projects that contain copyrighted or trademarked materials or images from manufacturers or entities other than Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. Entries that contain images or likenesses of persons will be subject to the signing of a Model Release form, granting use of the images to Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. Failure to provide a model release form with an entry where one is required may result in disqualification of the entry. No payment or payment of any kind will be made or owed by Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. and/or the Participating Local Cricut Retailer for any releases signed. | LIMIT: You may submit one entry. All entries submitted must be original and created by the person making the entry and cannot have been previously or contemporaneously with this contest entered into a sweepstakes, contest or other promotion. The entry must not have been previously published, must not be awaiting publication, nor may it be submitted for publication consideration during the period of this contest. All entries become the property of Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. and none will be returned. By entering, you grant to Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. the right to use your entry for any purpose, advertising or otherwise. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc.'s decisions on all matters relating to this contest shall be final. Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest should causes beyond Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc.'s control corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the contest. In case of cancellation, winners will be chosen from eligible entries received prior to date of cancellation. |
| WINNERS: Winners will be chosen on or about March 15, 2007. Entries will be judged on the following criteria: creativity, originality, creative use of Cricut brand products, and visual appearance. Only entries that include cuts from two (2) of the following Cricut branded cartridges: Paper Pups, Walk In My Garden, ZooBalloo, Opposites Attract, Printing Press, and New Arrival will be eligible. The judging criteria will be based on a 1 to 10 point system for each of the categories. All category points will be added to determine the grand prize winner. The five (5) category winners shall be the entry that receives the highest score in one of the five judged categories, not including the grand prize winning entry. Only one prize per entry. In the event of a tie, the entry with the higher score first in the creative use of Cricut brand products and then visual appearance category will determine the winner. |
| ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years and older, except employees and the immediate family of employees of Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. or any Participating Local Independent Cricut Retailer, their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies, and sales and manufacturing representatives. This contest is open only to amateur crafters. No substitution or transfer of prizes except at the discretion of Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc..PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: $5000.00 cash prize winnings; Cricut product collection, including one Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter, Suggested Retail Price (SRP) $299.99; two Cricut cutting mats, SRP $9.99; one (1) Cricut storage tote, SRP $99.99; one (1) Cricut tool kit, SRP $24.99; and eighteen (18) Cricut cartridges, SRP $1619.82. Five (5) Category Winners: $1000.00 cash prize winnings and six (6) Cricut cartridges, SRP $539.94. The particular Cricut cartridges shall be chosen by Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. All expenses not specified herein, including but not limited to cost of materials used to create the entry, fees, and taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Taxes on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. |
| TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Potential winners (subject to eligibility verification) will be chosen on or about March 15, 2007, and notified via telephone or mail. Winners will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and (where legal) a Publicity Release. The Affidavit of Eligibility includes certification that the winning entry has not been published or publicized. The Affidavit of Eligibility also requires assignment of all copyrights and moral rights arising under statute, common law, and all other rights derived therefrom in the winning contest entry to Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. and grants to Provo Craft permission to publish, copy and disseminate all or part of the winning contest entry, the ideas and/or transactions described therein. Potential winners will also need to be available for media interviews if appropriate. If potential winner fails to return such documents within fourteen (14) days, or the potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules, then the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. If the prize notification is returned undeliverable, this will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. By entering, entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by these rules and judges" decisions. Prize is non-transferable. No cash redemptions or substitutions permitted, except by Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the featured prize or any portion thereof becomes unavailable. Except where prohibited by law, the winner"s entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Provo Craft and Novelty, Inc. to use winner’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, complete entry, biographical information, voice, and city and state address on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation.
